This immersive experience for high school students is designed to guide them toward college and career opportunities after graduation. When students attend OTC Career Center, they may work toward an Associate of Applied Science degree, a certificate of achievement, or specialization in a particular field. Students interested in a particular path may finish an entire program and receive a post-secondary certificate, even prior to graduating high school while at the Career Center. Enrollment in the OTC Career Center is an excellent way for students to explore their futures, supplement courses available at their high schools, learn about careers, develop high tech skills needed in today’s global economy and workforce, and prepare for post-secondary enrollment at community college or university. OTC Career Center students’ tuition is paid by the local high school district and does not utilize A+ Scholarship funds. |

Brighter futures is business as usual at OTC’s Middle College. As a Middle College student, you will take both high school and college courses on campus at Ozarks Technical Community College. Our staff will help you graduate from high school with lots of college credit – and a solid pathway to your future. Students attend high school full-time on OTC’s campus while taking college courses. The innovative approach to traditional secondary education serves more than 140 students. Our location is on the Ozarks Technical Community College Springfield campus. Many students who struggle within the limitations of traditional high school excel at the OTC Middle College. When given an opportunity to learn in a different learning environment, Middle College students find and exceed their potential while exploring hands-on learning first hand. Middle College is a premier educational program designed for students whose unique life circumstances may find a non-traditional school more flexible to fit specific needs. Students accepted into Middle College finish their junior and senior years of high school on OTC’s Springfield campus. Eligible students explore a variety of careers and technical fields, including early childhood, computer science, automotive technology, medical services, construction technology, auto collision repair, culinary arts, diesel technology, electronic media production, graphic design, industrial systems, machine tool technology, welding, and drafting and design. Students learn leadership, social skills, and responsibility, all while gaining skills and college credits to make them more employable, whatever field they choose. All Springfield Public Schools students are eligible to apply. Students from outlying area schools may request to be considered and should see their high school counselor for information. Middle College is a scholarship-based program provided by local school districts and OTC. Selected students will receive free college tuition, textbooks, and various services upon selection and enrollment through Middle College.
